I saw Chris Morris in the street in Soho a couple of years ago. He was tall, intimidating and wearing a black biker’s jacket, looking not a little like Joey Ramone. I’m a huge fan of his work, from The Day Today, to Brasseye, through to Jam and Nathan Barley. Yes, he’s a comedy writer, but future generations will look back on him as a social satirist, a modern-day Swift.
He’s back, here’s a clip from his new film that premières this weekend. It’s controversial, will definitely upset a lot of people and I can’t wait to see it. I give you Four Lions:
